Dear Dental Family,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. As you know, our practice has been closed for several weeks as required by law and to do our part to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and preserve personal protective equipment. You are so important to us and we dearly miss seeing you and caring for you and your family. We understand your frustration and are very sorry for the inconvenience the effects of this pandemic have caused you in the delaying of your dental care. These are challenging times for everyone.
In our transition to the “Safer at Home” phase of this pandemic, many businesses, including ours, have been able to open with very strict limitations. Your health and safety, as well as that of our team members and our community is our highest priority. That is why we are constantly monitoring updates and complying with mandates and guidelines from our governing bodies: the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American and Colorado Dental Association (ADA and CDA), the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, the Colorado Executive Orders and Public Health Orders, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
These governing bodies have given us the permission we have been waiting for to proceed with dental treatment. However, there are very stringent guidelines we are required to follow during this phase. Of biggest concern is having adequate amounts of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to keep you and our team members safe. Due to the national shortage of PPE, we are unable to obtain enough necessary PPE to support our normal patient flow. Because of this, we are planning on a phased re-opening. This will allow us to resume providing dental care to those in need while also providing enough time to continue gathering appropriate PPE and to implement new protocols as required by our governing bodies.
During this phase, we will be prioritizing dental care to those in the most need initially and work our way toward resuming our normal patient flow in June, barring further limitations from our governing bodies and depending on acquisition of adequate amounts of appropriate PPE. If you already have an appointment scheduled in May, we will be contacting you regarding the status of that appointment in the coming weeks. We will be screening each patient before the appointment both by phone and again in person. If you are a patient that is at higher risk for complications from COVID-19, we may elect to further postpone your preventive and elective dental treatment out of an abundance of caution.
Again, the safety of you, our dental team, and our community is the highest priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work hard to navigate the numerous changes COVID-19 has brought to all our lives. For updates, you can check here or our Facebook page. If you have an urgent or emergent dental need, please call our office at 970-484-4850. If we can be of further assistance, please contact our office and we will do our best to respond in a timely manner. As always, we appreciate your trust in us for your dental care.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding through this ever-changing situation. We so look forward to seeing you again!
Warmest Regard and Well Wishes,
Allison Jung and Your Dental Care Team
