Dr. Jung graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry with a doctorate in dental surgery. She studied biology as an undergraduate at Creighton University and is originally from Sioux City, Iowa.

Dr. Ballard was born in North Platte, Nebraska. She spent the remainder of her youth just outside of Seattle, Washington, after her family relocated to the Pacific Northwest when she was eleven years old. She earned her doctorate in dentistry at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona.
